St. Michael’s Abbey is located at 27977 Silverado Canyon Road, Silverado, California.
The Administration Offices are open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Mass and Liturgy

Mass and Liturgy of the Hours are held in the church and are open to the public. For a full schedule of prayers and Confessions, please click HERE.

Dress Code

St. Michael’s Abbey is a sacred place for prayer and reflection.
In an effort to cultivate a spirit of recollection in the church and at events hosted by the abbey, we ask that you dress in a dignified manner and refrain from wearing revealing or inappropriate attire (including tank tops, muscle shirts, shorts, yoga pants, etc.), and please cover any tattoos that may be offensive to others.

Tours

A guided tour of the abbey church takes place every Saturday at 12:20 p.m., after Midday Prayer. The tour begins in the front pews inside the church.

Tours may be cancelled occasionally on account of special abbey events. Please check the website before coming.

For groups of 40 or more, please call the front office at (657) 314-9071 to make a reservation.

Sacraments

All prayers and Masses are open to the public daily. Please visit our schedule for more details.

Weddings and baptisms are not available at the abbey. These need to be scheduled through your local parish.

Filming and Photography

This is a sacred space, and we must treat it as such.
To this end, professional photography and video—including event photography, on-location filming, and any media creation intended for distribution on social, digital, or print media channels—is prohibited without prior approval.

Cemetery

Burials in the St. Michael’s Abbey cemetery are not open to the public.
