(Re)Discovering a Sacramental Spirituality: How To Receive the Sacraments More Fruitfully with Fr. Anselm Rodriguez

The Seven Sacraments have an irreplaceably central role in our spiritual life because they are among the principal means by which God bestows the grace necessary for salvation. Yet so many Catholics are frustrated because they experience the sacraments merely as the fulfillment of a fruitless obligation. The aim of this retreat is to help remedy this sacramental crisis. First, we will discuss how the sacraments work: we receive grace through the sacraments only to the extent that we have the proper interior disposition. Second, we will consider how we can properly dispose ourselves to receive the fullness of grace offered in the two most commonly-received sacraments: Confession and the Holy Eucharist.
