Gala 2023

Throughout history, monasteries have served not only as centers for art, scholarship, and prayer, but as the very roots of Christendom. By their expansion, monasteries laid the foundations of Catholic culture, carried the Gospel to countless souls, and stood as holy refuges against the storms of every age. As monasteries grew across Europe, so did the Church.

The Gala also celebrates the 2nd anniversary of the dedication.

HOLY LEGACY

This year, The Gala recognizes this legacy of holy expansion and celebrates the work St. Michael’s Abbey has done to advance it. With the successful relaunch of the Abbot’s Circle, a first-of-its-kind digital monastery, the Norbertines have solidified a worthwhile expansion into the digital space. And with the expansion to the Corpus Christi Priory, a new foundation in Springfield, Illinois, the Norbertine Fathers minister in an ever growing way to a culture in ever greater need of the beauty and love of Christ.

EXPANSION

Fr. Ambrose is spearheading the launch of the Evermode Institute.

Fr. Augustine Puchner, O.Praem. will head the founding of this new house with other Norbertine Fathers, including Fr. Ambrose Criste, O.Praem., who is overseeing the creation of the Evermode Institute, a new platform for education and formation that will allow the Norbertine Fathers to provide theological training to religious and lay educators across the nation.
